RUMOR

As far as your congregation is concerned, Jesus died to make them fat, happy and rich in Babylon!

RUMOR

A Sanctified Parody

There is a rumor going around that any preacher, who preaches anything but happy verses, will dry up the offering plates and empty the pews…

Let me be specific… If you do not want to empty the pews and dry up the offering plate, there are some specific rules…

  1. No matter how strongly you believe we are in the end times, never teach on it. You don’t understand it, God can’t explain it to you, it is confusing to you, it will confuse them, and most of all, if you get it wrong, the church board will ask the bishop to replace you.
  2. Make a list of Scriptures you can and cannot preach:
    1. You may preach 2 Chronicles 7:14
    2. You must never read 2 Chronicles 7:13 or verses 19-21
    3. You should expound profusely on Matthew 24:14
    4. NEVER make the mistake of connecting it to verses 9-13
    5. Never preach any of the following passages:
      1. Matthew 16:24,25
      2. Jeremiah chapters 14 and 15
      3. Lamentations chapter 2
      4. Revelation 13:7
      5. Revelation 6:9-11
  3. Never preach anything that might indicate that it is often God’s will that his saints suffer and die for their faith.
  4. Never talk about the tens of thousands of Christians around the world who have been martyred for their faith in the last 12 months.
  5. If you do preach on 2 Chronicles 7:14, never mention that the people in the congregation might need to repent or turn from their wicked ways.
  6. Never explain what God means when He orders us to “Get out of Babylon.”
  7. Never explain that Jesus is more interested in saving souls than in saving the United States of America.
  8. Never list or enumerate sins.
  9. Never preach repentance.
  10. Never speak of the Judgement of God (On men or nations).

This is a principle. If you master this, you will learn to identify and avoid any portion of Scripture that might offend or frighten any of your parishioners. You would never want to be accused of frightening anyone out of Hell or scaring them into Heaven…

As far as your congregation is concerned, Jesus died to make them fat, happy and rich in Babylon!

DOMINIONISM

Think of the joy that flooded the German Church when Hitler and the Nazis defeated the godless communists…

“In this sign conquer!” Dominionism was fathered by a fallen angel and given birth in the mind of the Roman Emperor Constantine. It was the dominate theology of the Holy Roman Empire, birthed the crusades, and remains the driving force behind the Roman Catholic Church. It is the key to understanding the actions and history of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits. It is mixed strongly with Babylonian Mysticism and is a major teaching of the Masonic organizations. It is through the Masons that Dominionism entered the Protestant, Charismatic and Pentecostal churches.

Dominionism teaches the violent, military conquest of the world by the Church of Jesus Christ.

Dominionism is the central theme of the New Apostolic Reformation and Seven Mountain theology. The leaders of these organizations claim that they, like Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John, are Apostles. If their word violates written Scripture, not to worry, God has either changed his mind or the Scripture has been perverted and they are simply correcting the errors in the Bible. You cannot use Scripture to reason with them. They are famous for the use of Power Verses as magic incantations capable of forcing the hand of the Almighty, and large, sacrificial offerings to add power to the magic spell.

Dominionism is a many headed beast. There are great divisions among the leaders. Some would kill Muslims; others simply control them. Some hate Israel and call Jews “antichrists” while others would die to save Israel. The one thing they have in common is the idea that we must all unify under the Pope and form a theocracy that will force Christian Morals and behavior on the whole world. We must, quite literally, form the Kingdom of God on earth. When, and not until, we have formed the Kingdom of God on planet earth, Jesus will return to rule the Kingdom we have established for him. “Kingdom Now” is another way of saying Dominionism.

They are very vocal in their support of massive, public executions of all who would disagree with them.

Donald Trump is their hero and their great hope, but should he fail, they have a hundred replacements in mind.

No, none of that is in Scripture.

There is a great article on Dominionism here: https://www.phoenix-rising-birthingthestrongdelusion.com/did-the-new-apostolic-reformation-put-their-president-in-the-white-house

Please understand that this is the religion of the Antichrist. They speak of spreading Americanism, offering Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness to the whole world… But that freedom is limited to those who will agree with and submit to them and their kingdom.

The current Pope is a Jesuit… This is his dream… This is the dream of the Masons, the NAR, and many, many Charismatic and Pentecostal pastors. Unity is the key word… This is the rebuilding of Babel, all men together with the same government and the same religion… This is the Right-Wing New World Order… the Novus Ordo Seclorum on the Great Seal of the United States and your Dollar Bill. It is this order that will deceive most Christians in the world and endanger even the Elect of God.

They will defeat the communist, godless New World Order but the order with which they replace it will be much worse.

Think of the joy that flooded the German Church when Hitler and the Nazis defeated the godless communists…

That’s it, you got the picture!

Think about it…

Trump as God

Every time you buy gas or go to buy groceries, you are being set up to receive Trump as your savior…

How Trump is being presented as the god sent to save us… the “King of Israel”, “The second coming of God”, and “The Chosen One”. Every time you buy gas or go to buy groceries, you are being set up to receive Trump as your savior… Most Christians are thrilled at the idea… The WHO and the WEF, the Democrats and the corrupt politicians are the Bad Guys in this novel written in Hell… Trump is the hero riding in to save the day… Millions are mistaking this novel for a non-fiction textbook… Don’t be fooled!

Tongues, Prophecy, and Idiots

In many Pentecostal and Charismatic churches, these gifts have replaced Scripture…

Let me start this rant by stating clearly that I believe in the Gifts of the Spirit. I speak in tongues and have been known to prophecy… These gifts are for us today, just like they were in the New Testament days. God is not going to pull the plug on our power and tell us to go win the world; it just doesn’t work that way.

That said, I have often seen the gifts abused in ways that would put the church at Corinth to shame… In many Pentecostal and Charismatic churches, these gifts have replaced Scripture and prophecy or tongues with an interpretation that blatantly opposes and defies plain Scripture is often left to stand unopposed and unchallenged.

I believe in the gifts, but I am convinced that Scripture stands as the unchallengeable Word of God and that all prophecy, and all messages in tongues are to be judged by that standard.

Anything that God does, the Devil will fake. There is no exclusion to that rule for the Gifts of the Spirit. The Devil will and does abuse both prophecy and tongues. If you were to watch Hindus in a service, you would find that a demon spirit they call Kundalini brings ecstatic and emotional outbreaks and gives both the gift of tongues and prophecy to his followers.

If that were the only problem, it would be bad, but the Kundalini spirit has invaded the Charismatic and Pentecostal churches and many Christians have fallen victims to its foolish nonsense.

Many years ago, I was in a huge, “Interdenominational” service in an auditorium with thousands of young people. It was sponsored by Charismatic Catholics, but even Baptist youth were in attendance. The platform had a dozen chairs across the front, facing the crowd. Those chairs were filled with priests, pastors, and bishops from the Catholic, Assembly of God, and Church of God denominations. As the Charismatic Catholic Bishop stood to speak, a lady screamed out a message in tongues. Immediately following her message, the interpretation came through a man in another part of the audience… I shall never forget it. “Thus saith the Lord, we should all be more devoted to the Virgin Mary and say our Roseries at least five times a day!”

Not one person, neither on the stage, nor in the audience, challenged that word and the Catholic Bishop began his remarks by thanking God for his “Word”. At that time, I was very Baptist, and I was appalled… Every Christian, and certainly every Man of God in that place, Pentecostal and Charismatic alike should have been sick at their stomachs.

In Venezuela, as a Pentecostal Missionary, I stood on a rain-soaked field and listened to a Venezuelan pastor jump up and down and preach what was, really, nothing more than a bunch of very Pentecostal phrases, repeated without context or meaning. At the end of the service, a man went forward. He fell on the ground, in the mud, and began to writhe like a snake. He would move towards another person and strike like a snake, trying to bite people’s ankles… The Evangelist started shaking violently, he jumped up and down in apparent ecstasy, shouting “Glory to God! Glory to God, the Spirit is here, the Spirit is here!” A large group from my church joined me as we simply walked away… In retrospect, I should have challenged that.

In 2019, hundreds of Facebook followers sent me hundreds of “Messages from God” in which tongue talking men and women excitedly spoke “Words” in the Name of God” that Trump would win the election and save America!!!!

The nonsense continues…

Yes, I believe in tongues and prophecy… but unfettered, unchecked, uncontrolled, demonic “Words” are killing the church…

Already today, I have received a foolish, stupid, unbiblical, ungodly “Word of the Lord” in my messages… When will it ever stop? Quit saying “Thus saith the Lord”, followed by unbiblical, stupid, and insane messages…

When will we learn that Scripture, not tongues and prophecy, is the final authority?

September 25, 2015, 8:30 a.m. — Pope Francis meets with the United Nations General Assembly. It’s the 70th anniversary of the U.N. It is the largest group of heads of state ever gathered in one place in the history of the world.

Pope Francis, speaking in Spanish, starts his remarks, “En nombre propio…” “In my own name…” Jesus said, “I have come in My Father’s name, and you have not received Me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will receive him.” (John 5:43)

Prophetic Convergence

Never have we needed the Scriptures more. Never has the Church of Jesus Christ been so ignorant of the Scriptures…

Prophetic Convergence

David A. Rice, D.Div.

The four horsemen of the Apocalypse are riding. The white horse is here, the red horse is arriving, and the other two are in sight. It is Friday, March 18, 2022, and all of the signs Jesus commanded us to watch for are visible, solid and established. The war of Ezekiel thirty-eight and nine is clearly on the horizon. The King of the North is marching south towards Jerusalem, the Ukraine is just an inconvenient stop along the way. The prophets of old would have given anything to see that which we are observing in real time.

Those of God’s people who have chosen blindness, see nothing. Those with eyes to see and ears to hear are overwhelmed. Perhaps the most terrifying thing the sighted see is the confusion and terror in the eyes of those who have determined not to see. To hear Christians speak of how electing Republicans, and bringing Trump back to power will save America… Awful ignorance; the ignorance of those committed to finding proof texts to support vain imaginations.

Never have we needed the Scriptures more. Never has the Church of Jesus Christ been so ignorant of the Scriptures that sit unread, unlearned, and untaught; the Scriptures that would inform, warn, direct, guide and comfort.

No more do we read the Scriptures in context, praying that God will teach us what He wants us to know. Rather, Christians imagine a God who thinks as they would have him think and acts like they would have him act. Having determined that which they want to believe, they go to books written about the Scriptures, searching desperately for the odd verse or paragraph that, ripped from context and standing alone, seems to support their imaginary religion and describe their made up god…

If a Christian is frightened by the idea of the tribulation, he searches diligently for verses that speak of rescue and escape… It matters not what the subject matter of the Book or the chapter, it speaks of rescue and if I add that verse to the other verses I found in that magic devotional book, I can come up with enough happy verses about rescue to convince myself that the rapture must be pretrib. Please God, don’t let anybody quote Matthew 24 in my presence… If I am even aware of my sin, weakness and failure, I will look for a church that teaches Eternal Security, and I will gladly accept their collection of proof texts without question. If I cannot lose my salvation, I need not be bothered by or alter my lifestyle; after all, I walked the aisle, shook the preacher’s hand and got dunked in the baptistry… I am in like flint… Besides, this is the New Testament and God is no longer concerned about sexual perversion!

So, having collected enough assorted Bible verses to support my happy doctrine, I look out at the world and find that it is collapsing around me. I am amazed that my happy god has not explained this to me… Didn’t Jesus die to make me happy in Babylon? I thought that if I was a Christian and followed all the steps that preacher listed in that book my friend gave me that God would be forced to buy me a mansion on the hilltop. Aren’t I supposed to be living my best life now? Doesn’t God care how much money I sent to that guy on TV? I mean really!

Obviously, the answer is to bring back Donald Trump!!!

Let us forget all those silly peripheral doctrines they told us set our denomination apart and made us better than all those other Christians who didn’t believe the same silly peripheral doctrines that made the founding fathers of our denomination stomp out of one church in a huff, take half the members and go start a new and improved denomination… OUR denomination! Let us go back to the Word of God, forgetting all those silly devotional books and their “365 Happy Verses for a Happy Year”, and asking God Almighty, by his Holy Spirit, to teach us the truth and open our eyes to the world around us and help us to see the whole truth. There is a great peace that descends on one’s soul when God fills it with his Truth!

We sit on the eve of destruction. Our reward is in Heaven. I could care less what your church believes, Jesus said, “He who endures to the end shall be saved!” Take that and run with it! Don’t go to bed without reading a chapter or two or three, in context and asking God to open your eyes to the Truth.

Today’s suggested reading (It is relevant) is:

2 Chronicles 7 the whole chapter

Jeremiah 14 and 15, both chapters

Lamentations 2, the whole chapter.

Tomorrow, continue in the same books and then ask God to lead you to another book to read.

Be a Daniel. Read Daniel and see Daniel’s suffering and his courage… Go beyond the Lion’s Den!

By preaching only happy verses, ignoring “If” clauses, curses and warnings, we have built a religion properly called Occultianity. Through offerings, positive thinking and the use of Power Verses, we are told that the Devil will be forced to flee and God can be made to do our will… It is all about wealth and life on earth… The God of this World has become the God in our churches.

Rapture Timing

Eisegesis, driven by irrational fear and unmitigated wishful thinking, is a powerful tool of deception and perhaps the greatest weapon of the Devil…

Fear and Wishful Thinking

The greater my commitment to the truth and longer I search for truth, the more convinced I am that no one ever goes to the Scripture with an open heart and mind and comes away believing in a PreTrib Rapture.

Those who believe in a PreTrib Rapture were taught the doctrine of a PreTrib Rapture before they ever went to the Scriptures. Without exception, they go to the Bible already fully convinced of a PreTrib Rapture and determined to prove that which they already believe.

This is called eisegesis. Eisegesis is unilaterally condemned and universally applied. We start with what we believe and search the Scriptures for verses and passages that would seem to support our preconceived notions…

Although PreTrib is not the only example of that, i.e. we might include infant baptism or eternal security, PreTrib is the most egregious example. Driven by an unrealistic fear of the Tribulation and wishful thinking, the list of prooftexts collected by the PreTrib believers is awesome. Hundreds of verses collected in dozens of combinations… Prooftext on top of Prooftext.

But the reality remains, several websites have been offering thousands of dollars to anyone who can come up with any verse or passage that places the Rapture before the Tribulation. They are all still in possession of their funds. The truth is that no such verse or passage exists.

What the PreTribbers give us are lists of verses that say that God is good, combined with verses that say that there will be a rapture. They say that we are not destined for wrath, but the passage they quote juxtaposes that wrath with Heaven. The opposite of Heaven is not the Tribulation but Hell and the everlasting Lake of Fire.

Nowhere do they find anything that remotely indicates that God must rapture us before the Tribulation. In fact, the opposite is true; Scripture clearly indicates that we will go through tribulation, that we will be hated by all nations, that we will be handed over to be killed, and even that it is our own relatives who will betray us…

Revelation tells us that the Antichrist will make war against the Saints and overcome them… Nowhere, outside of the Left Behind books and movies, will you find mention of anything like a “Tribulation Saint”. These Saints are the Church of Jesus Christ…

1 Corinthians 15:52 tells us that we will be gathered “at the last trump.” The last trump sounds when Jesus descends at Armageddon… If you insist on a PreTrib Rapture you must accept that having been raptured, we are somehow returned to earth and grave in order to be raised at the Last Trump!

2 Thessalonians 2 tells us that we cannot be gathered to the Lord until after the Man of Sin is revealed. It even tells us that he will be revealed when he sits in the Temple, as if he were God, proclaiming himself to be God. Until and unless you see that happen, you cannot be gathered to him… That is plain as day.

Mark 13:27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

Matthew 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

In the passage from Matthew, the gathering of the Elect is specifically and undisputedly placed “Immediately after the tribulation of those days…”

No, if you go to the Bible with an open heart and an open mind, you will understand that the Rapture cannot happen before the Tribulation… Clear and plain Scripture makes that impossible. If, on the other hand, you are convinced of a PreTrib Rapture, you will go to the Bible to prove it and you will end up with a string of verses that say that there will be a rapture and another string of verses that say that God is good… You will mix up those lists and insist that your list proves that the Rapture has to be before the Tribulation…

Eisegesis, driven by irrational fear and unmitigated wishful thinking, is a powerful tool of deception and perhaps the greatest weapon of the Devil…

Think about it!

FINAL AUTHORITY

Satan loves, absolutely adores, Bible verses ripped from context and half-truths…

2 Corinthians 11: 12 And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

Thirty something years ago, I was an English Teacher in a school in Queretaro, deep in the heart of Mexico. A few blocks from my school was a large Catholic Seminary. A couple of young priests, teachers in that Seminary, who had dreams of becoming priests in a church in the United States, became my best students. One of them explained, “A vow of poverty in the United States is not the same thing as a vow of poverty in Mexico!”

Being invited to lunch at the Seminary, on multiple occasions, led to discussions on theology, doctrine, and Christianity. Sometimes we had friendly debates that went on for hours. Eventually, we decided to talk about football and not theology. We concluded that having a different authority made those conversations impossible.

Let me explain. When I would say, “The Bible says…” they would answer “But Pope Schmidt said…” Or  “But the Church Council at the Beach said…” When they said “Pope Jones said…” I would answer “But the Bible says…” For me, the Bible was the final authority in all things. If the Pope said something that contradicted plain Scripture, the Pope was wrong. For them, if what the Pope said contradicted plain Scripture, the Bible was wrong. At that level, there is no meaningful communication.

For many Evangelicals, the final authority is their preacher, their denomination, or a certain Televangelist. For others, it is a voice in their head that they have identified as God. Still others have concocted an absolute doctrine based on a handful of Scripture verses, isolated and devoid of context. Whatever their authority, any Scripture that challenges that authority is wrong and the one who preaches it is their enemy.

As Bible believing Christians, we may argue over interpretations of Scripture. Our arguments are different… We compare Scripture with Scripture. Often, we pull in alternate translations  and understandings of Hebrew or Greek words. Sometimes we go back to the old commentaries and see what the old Bible scholars had to say about a passage. In the end, we may still disagree, but the Bible remains our final authority. Most often, our arguments are on peripheral issues and not in matters dealing with Salvation. A Baptist and a Methodist may argue over sprinkling or emersion, but in the end, that is not a salvation issue.

Sometimes, or perhaps often, our arguments are over semantics. We are simply using different words to express the same thought. Sometimes it is language. As an outside example, one man can argue that the word “ya” means yes. His friend may insist that “ya” means already. They are both right, but one is translating German and the other Spanish. “Ya” means already in Spanish, but yes in German. So many of our debates are based on different understandings of words. I think that I understand the word “all”. When I begin to talk with a Calvinist, I quickly come to understand that to the Calvinist, the word “all” means “all who have been predestined to be saved.” We are both quoting Scripture, but to me, the language of Scripture is to be taken in its most common understanding. To the Calvinist, words mean what John Calvin said that they mean. Such things can lead to some very silly sounding conversations.

Whatever you believe, you must understand that for me, Scripture is the ultimate authority. Even the voice in my head that identifies itself as “God” is subject to Scripture. Even Scripture must be taken in context and Scripture must always be compared to other Scriptures…

Satan disguises himself as an angel of light and many have mistaken the Light of Lucifer for the Glory of God. Satan loves, absolutely adores, Bible verses ripped from context and half-truths… Satan will call himself “God” or “Jesus” or the “Holy Spirit” and he will quote a verse, misinterpret it, and question it… The biblically ignorant Christian, like Adam and Eve in the Garden, is fair game, and Satan has stolen many souls with his questions and his blatant eisegesis… For me, everything must pass the Scriptural test and Scripture must be taken in context and compared with other Scripture.

If every time I quote Scripture, you answer “But I think…” or “But I believe…”, our conversation will end abruptly. If I make the voice in my own heart pass the test of Scripture, please understand that I cannot accept the voice in your head as an authority and that I am convinced that even if you identify that voice as God Almighty, if what you say contradicts plain Scripture, I will reject it and call you deceived…

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Really!!!
