A TALE OF TWO KINGDOMS

There are only two Kingdoms. Those who try to live in both, at the same time, picking the rules they like from each kingdom and mixing them are schizophrenic, usually paranoid and suicidal creatures in the spiritual realm…

He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves. (Colossians 1:13)

There are two Kingdoms and only two Kingdoms in this world. If you are saved, you have been transferred from one Kingdom to the other. Tonight, we are going to talk about that…

There are only two Kingdoms. Those who try to live in both, at the same time, picking the rules they like from each kingdom and mixing them are schizophrenic, usually paranoid and suicidal creatures in the spiritual realm.

You have rejected Lucifer and submitted to Jesus. You have left Babylon and entered the Kingdom of God.

Your spirit is transferred immediately. You must move your mind, soul and body. Most Christians today, especially in the United States, have never moved out of Babylon. This is true because, as Americans, we were taught to believe that the United States and the Kingdom of God were synonymous, that, unlike all the other nations of the world, we had a Christian government, created and endorsed by God himself. In truth, there has only been one nation ever created by God, for Himself and distinct from the other kingdoms and that is Israel.

I want to present to you tonight, the idea that the United States was great because, for 200 years, the majority of her citizens were Christian. The Church and the Christian people kept an evil government in check. God, working in their behalf, restrained the evil that government had in its heart to accomplish.

Adam was the god of this world. He was given dominion over it all.

Genesis 1: 28 God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that crawls on the earth.” 29 God also said, “Look, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the surface of the entire earth and every tree whose fruit contains seed. This food will be for you, 30 for all the wildlife of the earth, for every bird of the sky, and for every creature that crawls on the earth—everything having the breath of life in it. I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.

When Adam sinned, he lost dominion and that dominion was given to Satan.

Matthew 4: 8 Again, the Devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 And he said to Him, “I will give You all these things if You will fall down and worship me.”

NOTE: Jesus did not contradict him or say that he did not have that right. Satan is the God of this world. All of the kingdoms of this earth, including the United States, are earthly kingdoms, under the power and authority of the Devil.

These kingdoms will be given to Jesus but that has not happened yet…

Revelation 11:15 The seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying: The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He will reign forever and ever!

That will not happen until the seventh angel blows his trumpet…

There is a problem when Christians, who have been transferred out of the Kingdom of This World and into the Kingdom of God, do not move… keeping their mind, soul and body firmly attached to the Kingdom of This World.

We have believed a lie. It is a lie that has been passed down for generations. Your parents and grandparents believed it. Your Pastors and Sunday School teachers believed it… The Lie says that the United States of America is and has been a Christian nation.

The truth is that the United States is the chief nation among the Kingdoms of This World.

Jeremiah 50:23 How the hammer of the whole earth is cut down and smashed! What a horror Babylon has become among the nations!

That speaks of the destruction of the end times Babylon and calls it “The hammer of the Whole Earth!”

Congressman Ron Paul reported that according to government sources, the United States of America has some 900 military bases in 130 nations of the world… Does that sound like we might be, “The Hammer of the Whole Earth”?

Of the seven men commonly listed as the chief Founding Fathers of the United States, only one believed that Jesus Christ was God. Six were Deists. Deists were the predecessors of the atheistic evolutionists. They always spoke of “Providence” but never of Jesus Christ and almost never using the word God.

Providence, as the “god” of the Deists, was the Creator of all but he was impersonal and never interacted with men. This Providence created everything, including human government and then abandoned the world leaving governments in charge.

If you look at 18th century documents produced by Churches and Pastors, they, like us, spoke of God and of Jesus Christ. If you look at documents written by Deists, they spoke only of Providence… Look it up! The fact that our founding documents speak of providence and not of God is telling…

All of our Founding Fathers were members of secret societies. Jefferson and Franklin belonged to secret societies in America, England and France…

 There might be a Mason in this room. My Grandfather was a 33rd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite and a “Lifetime Deacon” in his church.

Among his books was a well-worn copy of a book called “Morals and Dogma” by Albert Pike. Let me give you a quote from that book.

“Masonry, like all the religions, all Mysteries, Hermetiscism, and Alchemy, conceals its secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve to be mislead; to conceal the Truth, which it calls Light, from them, and to draw them away from it. Truth is not for those who are unworthy or unable to receive it, or would pervert it. So God Himself incapacitates many men, by color-blindness, to distinguish colors, and leads the masses away from the highest Truth, giving them the power to attain only so much of it as it is profitable to them to know. Every age has had a religion suited to its capacity.

The Teachers, even of Christianity, are, in general, the most ignorant of the true meaning of that which they teach. There is no book of which so little is known as the Bible. To most who read it, it is as incomprehensible as the Sohar*.

LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS ARE THE BLESSINGS OF PROVIDENCE… The Bible speaks of taking up your cross, dying to self and following Jesus. This government was founded, not on the Bible but on Plato’s Republic, the Greek philosophers and a novel called “THE NEW ATLANTIS” by Sir Francis Bacon.

 Matthew 16: 24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it. 26 What will it benefit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will reward each according to what he has done.

 How does that compare to, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”?

 The truth is that the government and those in power were corrupt and evil from the beginning… the fairy tales you learned in Sunday School notwithstanding. Godly governments do not slaughter Natives by the hundreds of thousands, steal their land, and lock them up on reservations built on the poorest land in the country. Godly nations would not send their Marines to Columbia South America, take away the entire northern section of their nation, form a new government of handpicked leaders and call that land Panama, just so that they could build, control and profit from a canal… There are ten thousand like examples, and the Church pretended that they were godly acts of a godly nation.

So, why then was the United States so blessed?

The truth is that for 200 years, the overwhelming majority of Americans were Christian. The influence of the Church and the intervention of God on their behalf kept an evil government in check. The church today is in total apostasy and has zero influence on the State. The apostasy has caused God to remove himself and the power that once restrained evil and brought blessing to the people.

Babylon is a word that describes the kingdoms of this world and all false religion, including apostate Christianity. The United States is the center of that power and the Hammer of the Whole Earth…

Revelation 18: Then I heard another voice from heaven:

Come out of her, My people,
so that you will not share in her sins
or receive any of her plagues.
For her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
Pay her back the way she also paid,
and double it according to her works.
In the cup in which she mixed,
mix a double portion for her.
As much as she glorified herself and lived luxuriously,
give her that much torment and grief,
for she says in her heart,
“I sit as a queen;
I am not a widow,
and I will never see grief.”
For this reason her plagues will come in one day—
death and grief and famine.
She will be burned up with fire,
because the Lord God who judges her is mighty.

 We need to take our hearts, soul, mind and body out of Babylon and move to the Kingdom of God:

We need to learn how the Kingdom of God works and just what it is that marks the ways of Babylon.

  • We need to stop seeking Life, Liberty and Happiness and begin to seek the cross of Jesus.
  • We need to stop thinking of our jobs as the source of our provision and turn to Jesus as the source of all blessing. (That does not mean quit your day job; it speaks of a deep spiritual awareness of the real source.)
  • We need to stop looking at the government as our protector and look to God.
  • We need to stop hoarding wealth and start giving like God gives…
  • We need to give up the idea that God is going to send a pagan prince to save an evil, arrogant and unrepentant land, giving it the opportunity to continue in sin…

Paul’s goal needs to become our goal: “My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death…” (Philippians 3:10)

Your heart must be anchored, with God, in Heaven. Paul said, “If we have put our hope in Christ for this life only, we should be pitied more than anyone.” (1 Corinthians 15:19) That is more true today than ever.

We have no future here… none…

UPS AND DOWNS

This is my story… this is a small chapter out of a long and full life. I am thinking that I will lose friends over this… Good riddance. This will help a lot of people, God has assured me of that. Take a little walk on the dark side, down the road to deliverance…

Philippians 3:But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ. More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them filth, so that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ—the righteousness from God based on faith. 10 My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead.

David’s life had fallen apart again. It was not the first time, nor would it be the last. He was Bipolar and deep in the pit of depression but he could not have known that then. He only knew that it hurt and that there was an uncontrollable urge, deep down inside, to run. He prayed desperate prayers and he wept. He would cry for days without respite. This was soul pain; an indescribable burning that would not go away.

He was a Sailor with a good record. He was a convict on felony probation for strange and inexplicable crimes; crimes committed while in a manic fit. He was such a good Sailor that the Navy had pardoned everything and taken him back with open arms… all forgiven. He was divorced. When he went to jail the first time, his wife had abandoned him. She had been simply the latest in a string of women who had rejected him. David had overcome the pain and started over. All was well, or so it seemed.

Now, his fiancé had left him. He had gone to sea for a couple of weeks. When he returned to port, she was not there to greet him. When he called, she did not answer. He called her father who told him that she was married. In the two weeks he was at sea, she had not only decided to go with another man, she had run to the courthouse and married him.

David’s psyche broke and it broke badly. He lay weeping in a rented hotel room. It was in the depth of that awful, searing, burning pain that David decided to start over again. He had access to a little money. He would go far away, change his name, take on a new identity and start a new life. This place hurt too badly… he could not stay here.

Buying a train ticket from Jacksonville to San Diego, he hid in a sleeper compartment and cried. He barely saw the country as it slid by, outside the window. If he ate anything at all, he would not remember; it was all a blur. It was pulling into the station in San Diego that everything changed. Suddenly, the lights came on.

David left the train walking on air. The sky was bright, the birds were singing, it was a new day; the first day of a new life. Somehow, the fact that he was a deserter from the Navy and in violation of a felony probation just didn’t matter. He would overcome that. David felt like Superman; he could do anything.

Getting a hotel room, he began to explore his new surroundings. He liked everything he saw. In reality, he had very little money, no job, no hope and no future. In his spirit, David was free and on the top of the world. This was hypomania, but he could not have known that. David could not be defeated… he would win.

Walking through the streets of this new city, he only knew that he had to find work. David was a Christian. David knew Jesus, and against all logic, he prayed. He asked for guidance and direction. Suddenly, he saw a man, dressed as a Catholic Priest, collecting for charity on a street corner.

Perhaps it was guidance from a God who loved him and knew how He would fix what was broken in this young man and how He would use him in the future. Engaging the young Priest in conversation, David asked for information and assistance. “I am not a Priest,” the young man said, “I work with a group that takes homeless men off of the streets and pays them to collect for an Orphanage in Mexico. Would you like to come with me? I am sure that we could help you.” David went with him. By evening, he had a bunk in a small shelter and a job at which he would excel.

Dressed as a Priest, David would stand in various places around San Diego and ask for money to help the orphans. In an extended state of hypomania, David was irresistible and his bucket would fill to overflowing. He was the top funds collector in the organization and, along with free room and board, he got to keep half of the money he collected. Life was good.

Then, one day, it all came apart. The hypomania broke and depression set in. David lay on his bunk and cried out to God for help. Praying, often with “inexpressible groanings”, he cried out to God. “Oh God,” he prayed, “whatever it takes to get me from what I am, and where I am, to where and what you want me to be; do it!”

The young man fell back on his pillow and slept soundly through the night. The next morning, he put on his black trousers and black shirt, carefully placing the little, white plastic yoke over the tightly buttoned shirt collar. It was that yoke that would identify him to the world as a religious man. It was that yoke that would help him pull in large donations for the orphanage in Tijuana, just across the border in Mexico.

That morning, the small group of men, all dressed like priests and carrying little red buckets, got on the train for the San Diego Airport. The group had never been there before and they did not know how they would be received. They had a Non-Profit, Fund Raising License from the City of San Diego, but this was different; airports are different.

They had been there just a very short time when an Airport Police Officer approached David. Straining his eyes to read the small nametag pinned to the black cloth, he asked, “Well, David, do you have a last name? David assured him that he did. “And what” the officer asked, “is your Social Security Number?” David, not knowing what else to do, gave it to him.

The officer carefully wrote down the information on a matchbook cover and disappeared into the crowd. Not ten minutes later he returned with another officer, and they asked David to go with them. He walked with them quietly and with a strange assurance that this was a God thing. Somehow his brain put this together with his request, “Whatever it takes to get me from where I am and what I am to where and what you want me to be; do it.” Somehow, this was the first installment in “whatever”.

“Sir,” the officer spoke, “it appears that you are on an unauthorized absence from the Navy and Florida wants you for violating a felony probation.” With this, they sat David down on a bench and shackled his feet to the floor. It was the start of a very long journey but the first step in “whatever”.

When he left the California jail, headed for Florida, a fellow prisoner shouted out, “You will be out by Christmas!” This was to be prophetic. Somehow, this was from God, but who could have known?

Lying on a bunk in a county jail gives you lots of time to think, and David thought. He remembered his father leaving when he was six. He remembered how he walked an aisle, accepted Jesus and got baptized at eight. He thought of how he had given his life to be a minister when he was twelve and how, by fourteen, he was certain that God wanted him to be a Foreign Missionary. He thought about how his teachers had told him how smart he was but accused him, in the same breath, of being lazy. He remembered crying because, sitting at his desk, with the books in front of him, he could not force himself to study. He remembered being a failure academically, even though he knew the material. He remembered being socially backward to an extreme. He remembered always being the last one chosen when the Physical Education class divided up into teams… Mostly, he remembered being rejected; repeatedly rejected. Now he was thirty-four years old and that rejection had followed him every day of his life.

How could you be called of God to minister and be a missionary when you failed at everything you ever tried? David questioned, and David cried. He read his Bible and he prayed. God spoke and God gave peace.

The court room session had been very short. “How do you plead?” “Guilty” “I accept your plea and I adjudicate you guilty. You are sentenced to thirty months in the State Correctional System.” That was it. David’s lawyer told him that with time served and time off for good behavior, he would only spend about six months in prison. He would be out by January of 1986.

The first day in his new home, David was sent around to check in. He would visit the clinic, the barbershop and the Chapel. He would have an interview with the Prison Chaplain. When He sat down with the Chaplain, he spilled his guts… everything, even his prayer that God would do whatever it took and how he got arrested the next day. Before he left the Chaplain’s office, David was the prison’s newest Chaplain’s Assistant.

When he reported for work the next day, the Chaplain sat him down. “David,” he said, “we have over two thousand books in the Chapel Library. They are in random order on the shelves. While you are here, I want you to do two things, I want you to categorize those books, make a card file and arrange them on the shelves and I want you to read two books, of your choice, every week, and write a summary of them to go in the card catalogue so that others will be able to read them and know what they are about.”

For almost six months, David read books, looked at books, arranged books, wrote book reports and talked every day with a godly Christian Pastor… This was God’s “whatever”. David was being changed and David was being set free. When he got out of prison, his debt to society would be paid. The Navy had discharged him while he was there. There would be no more probation and no parole. When David stepped out of that prison door, he would be a free man. More than that, many of the things that had held him in spiritual bondage would be gone and he could succeed in ways he never dreamed.

Christmas was coming and David’s release date was the middle of January. David remembered the wild and crazy prophecy the man in the San Diego jail had given, “You will be out by Christmas!” David prayed and he asked God to let him go home for Christmas. Sometime, after the first of December, the word came, there would be an early release. Two weeks before Christmas, David walked out the door a freer man than he had ever been.

David moved back with his parents near Lake Okeechobee, in South Florida. In the Single Adults class at First Baptist Church, David met Bill Townsend. Bill told him that he was Cam Townsend’s son and that his father had started Wycliffe Bible Translators. David didn’t believe him, but it turned out to be true. Six months after David got out of prison, he and Bill were travelling up and down the rivers of Peru, ministering in the deepest darkest jungle of the Amazon. For four and a half months they lived in a village so deep in the interior that it was a two-week trip by boat to the nearest telephone.

It was on a riverboat, going up a tributary to the Amazon that Bill turned to David and said, “If God ever called you, He is still calling you, ‘The gifts and callings of God are without repentance’” Years later Bill would say that he could not remember that moment, but David never forgot.

David would have more ups and downs but God would use him. He would go back to school, get a degree in Missions, go to Venezuela as a Missionary, help a small church of about thirty members grow to more than five hundred. He would start a small Bible College and teach young men who felt called into the ministry. It was in Venezuela that he would meet his wife of twenty-five years, Cathy… an Arawak Indian from Guyana. It was there that the first of their two children would be born.

There were more bouts of depression and hypomania but God helped him overcome. In 2013, David saw a V.A. Psychiatrist. David had been a Missionary and a Pastor. Now, he sat across the desk from a secular Psychiatrist and spilled his guts.

He had told these things to a man he trusted once. A well-known and well liked Pastor and a Man of God. For his trouble, he had been shunned and asked to find another church. He had sought counseling from Christian Counselors who spouted off Bible verses David knew by heart. He had been prayed for and had family curses broken… some of it helped but still the questions remained.

He told this old Doctor of the crimes he had committed and how they cost him a marriage and led to years of wild and crazy living, followed by jail and prison. Unlike the Pastor friend, there was no shock or rejection in that ancient face, no repulsion. It was his last appointment of the day but the old Psychiatrist sat and listened for an hour and a half… long past quitting time. David’s life had been full of glorious successes, brought down by fantastic failures. One after the other, after the other. David had recited them. Still the Doctor had listened.

Finally, when David was spent and the story told, the old Doctor stirred and leaned forward in his chair. “You, Sir,” the Doctor said, “are functionally Bipolar.” Seeing the disbelief in David’s eyes, the Doctor said, “You don’t understand the disease. You are a smart man. Go home and look it up. For you, there is no need of medication. For you, to know the beast is to conquer the beast. I don’t think,” he continued, “that you will need to see me again.”

Two days later, the beast was conquered and David had his answer. Understanding how the depression he was prone to caused him to run from his problems, and how the hyper state and the mania always followed, explained his whole life. Now, he could hold on through the depression and recognize and bring himself down from a hypomanic state.

Not perfect overnight, still the progress is amazing and David’s life has changed for the better.

HURRICANE MATHEW AS A GIFT OF GOD!

Matthew is the English form of Ματθαιος (Matthaios), which was a Greek form of the Hebrew name מַתִּתְיָהוּ (Mattityahu) meaning “gift of YAHWEH”.

LIKE IT OR NOT, HURRICANE MATHEW IS JEHOVAH’S GIFT!

  • We have Matthew bearing down on some of the wealthiest communities in the nation…
  • The Presidential debate on Sunday,
  • The Market on Monday: Chinese and South Korean Markets are closed but will reopen on Monday.
  • 40 Million Russians in fallout shelters,
  • Russia and the US both making nuclear threats,
  • Russia and the US face to face in Syria…

We expect everything to blow up in a very, very short period of time… We believe that they are going to soon try overwhelm us and frighten us into submission to their new Beast Kingdom…

How then, could a major hurricane, set to devastate Florida’s East Coast, be a gift of God? FEMA is already stretched too thin… There is no money to rebuild. Foreign governments and individuals are getting more and more reluctant to loan us money. Even spiritually blind pagans understand that a debt equal to $50,000 for every citizen, $200,000 for a family of four, is mathematically impossible to repay. The entire world is holding its collective breath, waiting for us to default on our debt…

This storm and its after effect could easily be the “straw that breaks the camel’s back.” It is even possible that entire communities could lie waste for years, just like they do in any third world nation… Whatever happens, the cost will be outrageous and large enough to defy comprehension…

…And this is a “Gift of YAHWEH”?

The nation has passed the point of no return. There will be no national salvation. Judgment has come and its first name is Mathew…

Jeremiah 14: 11 Then the Lord said to me, “Do not pray for the well-being of these people. 12 If they fast, I will not hear their cry of despair. If they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. Rather, I will finish them off by sword, famine, and plague.”

And yet:

Revelation 22:17 Both the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Anyone who hears should say, “Come!” And the one who is thirsty should come. Whoever desires should take the living water as a gift.

Some will be driven to despair under the heavy hand of God. Some will cry out for Salvation. Some will be snatched from the Gates of Hell…

There will be a million opportunities for Christians to reach out to their neighbors with solid, real physical help and with spiritual comfort and a Word from God. Watching all their earthly wealth and goods destroyed will open even hardened, pagan millionaires to the message of the Gospel…

BOCA RATON, is being hit as I write this. Funny place, Boca Raton… The Spaniard who mapped the bay and inlet there looked at his paper and saw a rat’s mouth… and he called the place Boca Raton… Rat’s Mouth, Florida… but Boca Raton has become a hang out and center for the wealthiest of Americans, most of whom are proud to have a mailing address in Boca Raton… unaware of the meaning of those Spanish words…

When Matthew has passed, there is a good chance that much of Boca Raton will again look more like a rat’s mouth than an enclave of the rich and famous…

Most of them will stand up in arrogance and pride, shaking their fists in the face of God and declaring, “The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with cut stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.” Those are the ones who, filled with the sins of Babylon, will receive of the plagues of Babylon and burn with Babylon when she burns…

But some… some, we pray, will hear the call of a loving God and under the conviction of his Spirit, will fall on their knees and cry out for mercy and forgiveness…

Such will be the story from the condos of Miami Beach to the shores of the St. Johns River and beyond… Most will curse God and die, but the Blessed Elect will cry out for mercy, receiving salvation.

As we face internal strife and civil war… As we face the threat of an EMP or a direct nuclear strike on New York or Washington… As we face financial meltdown, deprivation, hunger and starvation… As we face an uncertain future… Let us remember that the God who saved Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is still in the business of saving souls and snatching sinners from the Gates of Hell.

Our judgment is well deserved. We earned it, we worked hard for it, and we own it… Mathew is a terrible disaster, causing damage, pain and even death but Mathew is a gift of God to those who will use it as an opportunity to reach out to others in the Name of the Lord. Mathew will be the eternal gift and an everlasting source of praise for those who, through it, receive the gift of Eternal Life. Why not ask God what you can do, in the wake of Mathew, to further the Kingdom of God and Snatch sinners from the Gates of Hell?
