Joseph Shellim commented on my post, “Paul’s quote is pointless, clearly indicating he was a Roman agent. Everything is created by God [Gen.1/1]. Paul’s attempt to fulfill away the laws of God marks the single greaest failure in biblical history. The Romans and Christianity also failed this attempt, to the extent not a single Christian country can stand without the Hebrew laws. Even God cannot change His covenant and laws, because God is Truth.
Ps 105/8 He hath remembered His covenant forever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations; 10 And He established it unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant.”
To which I replied, “And you sir, are a Hell bound pagan, having rejected the Word of God.”
His is however, the logical end to the beliefs of the legalist and Judaizer… You cannot believe that Paul was an Apostle and at the same time insist on placing gentile Christians under the Law… Every Hebrew Roots believer, Legalist and Judaizer will eventually be forced to either trash their doctrine or make Paul a reprobate… There is no other honest choice…
I once had a Hebrew Roots “Pastor” send me a 4,000-word essay on why Paul was not an Apostle and it was only by a Roman Catholic plot that his books were included in the Bible… Seriously, that is the only… the very only answer that one can come up with that can possibly justify the attempt to place Christians under the law of Moses…
You cannot believe that Paul was an Apostle and his writings are the Word of God and believe that Christians are forbidden to eat pork and shellfish and that they are required to go to church on Saturday… That is an oxymoron on steroids…
But none, absolutely none of the Judaizers will accept that they are bound by the whole law. They are bound only to dietary laws and the Sabbath… The rest of the Law can and should be ignored… You cannot preach that with Paul’s Epistles in your Bible…
I wrote, “While you are enforcing Leviticus 11, why not enforce Leviticus 15? Who gave you permission to enforce one chapter and ignore the rest of the book? When you come into full compliance with all of Leviticus, I might even listen to that garbage you selectively pick out of a single chapter… You are going to insist that rules regarding food are still in force but rules concerning blood are trashed? Good luck explaining that one to God!
Leviticus 15:19 ‘When a woman has a discharge, if her discharge in her body is blood, she shall continue in her menstrual impurity for seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening. 20 Everything also on which she lies during her menstrual impurity shall be unclean, and everything on which she sits shall be unclean. 21 Anyone who touches her bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening. 22 Whoever touches any thing on which she sits shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening. 23 Whether it be on the bed or on the thing on which she is sitting, when he touches it, he shall be unclean until evening. 24 If a man actually lies with her so that her menstrual impurity is on him, he shall be unclean seven days, and every bed on which he lies shall be unclean.
25 ‘Now if a woman has a discharge of her blood many days, not at the period of her menstrual impurity, or if she has a discharge beyond that period, all the days of her impure discharge she shall continue as though in her menstrual impurity; she is unclean. 26 Any bed on which she lies all the days of her discharge shall be to her like her bed at menstruation; and every thing on which she sits shall be unclean, like her uncleanness at that time. 27 Likewise, whoever touches them shall be unclean and shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening. 28 When she becomes clean from her discharge, she shall count off for herself seven days; and afterward she will be clean. 29 Then on the eighth day she shall take for herself two turtledoves or two young pigeons and bring them in to the priest, to the doorway of the tent of meeting. 30 The priest shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. So the priest shall make atonement on her behalf before the Lord because of her impure discharge.’
31 “Thus you shall keep the sons of Israel separated from their uncleanness, so that they will not die in their uncleanness by their defiling My tabernacle that is among them.”
So throw out 80% of your New Testament and declare Paul a reprobate or throw out your Demon Doctrine that forces that decision down your throat…
David…
Well said David!
