The true Watchman, goes to God, already armed with a firm and solid knowledge of the Word of God. With such an anchor in place, and with an open mind and a hungry heart, the Watchman admits, to God, that he knows nothing. He asks God to open his eyes and let him see, to open his ears and let him hear, and to open his mind and let him understand. There is a covenant between the Watchman and God; the Watchman receives supernatural insight but, with that insight comes responsibility. What God shows that Watchman often goes against common thought and long standing Dogma in the Church and sharing is difficult.
Ezekiel 33:7 “As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. When you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me. 8 If I say to the wicked, ‘Wicked one, you will surely die,’ but you do not speak out to warn him about his way, that wicked person will die for his iniquity, yet I will hold you responsible for his blood. 9 But if you warn a wicked person to turn from his way and he doesn’t turn from it, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.
What God shows the Watchman must be shared. The Watchman is often overwhelmed by what he sees. What he sees, speaks of doom and darkness, of sword and famine and death. Having asked and now having seen, the Watchman now fears… dreads sharing what he has seen. With the insight and understanding comes the threat of Blood Guilt… God says that if the Watchman does not share what he has seen and warn his fellow man, he is guilty of their death. And so, the watchman, in fear and trembling, shares what he has seen.
Would be Watchmen, with little or no knowledge of the Word of God, often seek “New Knowledge” in the strength of their own flesh. Finding something odd, they latch on to it, study it, think about it. Then, having convinced themselves that they have discovered something new, they go to God. “God,” they say, “I know this is true. Please help me prove it.” Armed with their “New Knowledge” and encouraged by a five minute, one way prayer, they go on Facebook and confuse the Church of Jesus Christ; unaware of the Blood Guilt they have incurred… They are encouraged at the number of disciples they rapidly gain, and so, they begin to search for more “New Knowledge.” From such nonsense come cults, and many are damned.
Many years ago, having sinned greatly and fallen spectacularly, I promised God that, if He would restore me, I would say whatever He told me to say, no matter what. Perhaps, if I had known what I would be required to share, I would not have made such a promise. I agonize over what God shows me. I share things in fear and trembling. A handful of people understand and accept the message. The clear majority of Christians, unable to argue with what God has shown me, reject it anyway and resort to name calling as a last defense against the truth…
I am very human and supremely fallible. Almost two years ago, God told me that Obama would be followed up by a right wing, strongman… an egomaniac who would lead the United States and the world to destruction. While I was digesting that, I read an article about Mitt Romney and the Mormon Prophecy… the “White Horse Prophecy.” It sounded a lot like what I had seen of the coming Right-Wing Leader. I mixed the two, in my mind and wrote several articles, in which I did not predict or prophecy, but in which, I strongly suggested that Mitt Romney might very well be our next President. I mixed what God showed me with what I saw in the flesh and it confused people. We got the Right-Wing Egomaniac” God showed me, but it wasn’t Romney. If I confused you, I apologize.
Sometimes, no, often I see what other people are saying and, if it seems reasonable, I pass it along. Other watchmen are also fallible. Sometimes what I pass along is true, other times not. We must all examine all things prayerfully and in the light of plain Scripture.
No watchman sees it all or knows it all. I stand in awe of the kind and amount of information that God is giving through some of his Watchmen, but the best of them do not see everything. It is as we carefully and prayerfully weigh, measure and compare the messages of many that a clear picture of the whole begins to take form. You and I must take that which God shows us and compare it with what others are saying. We must pray that God begin to put the puzzle together for all of us and that even the careless Christian begins to get the message. What is coming is not pleasant or happy or good. All of God’s watchmen are seeing pain and sword and hunger and death. We are all seeing different aspects of the coming Judgment of a Holy and Righteous God wreaked on an arrogant, proud and evil land. We are seeing the coming of Antichrist, the destruction of the United States and the New World Order that will rise, like a phoenix, out of the ashes… Not pleasant stuff…
Revelation 13:7 And he was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. He was also given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation.
Heaven is my home and my hope is eternal. If I did not believe that, I would be thinking about suicide. You must get your mind off of this world. You must take up your cross and follow Jesus. You must make every effort, with mind, soul and spirit, to make Heaven your home. You must determine that whatever happens, you will cling to the cross and follow Jesus. If your hope is in this nation, your house, your home, your job… you are going to die a hopeless and meaningless death… disappointed beyond all measure. If you are clinging to the cross, following Jesus, if Heaven is your home, you will be able to hold firm to the end and you will receive a Crown of Righteousness on the other side.
Philippians 3:7 But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ. 8 More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them filth, so that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ—the righteousness from God based on faith. 10 My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead.
The answer is not in legalism or the law or following a bunch of rules… you will die a miserable failure if you try. The answer is found in a very real relationship with a living God. You are saved by Grace, you are free from the Law, you are in Christ and Christ is in you… the hope of Glory. Get to know Jesus… wrap yourself up in his arms and hold on tightly. This thing is personal. You do not succeed in marriage by memorizing the Marriage Handbook and closely following the rules. You succeed in marriage by loving and respecting your spouse and by getting to know them intimately. You are a part of the Bride of Christ. Get to know your spouse… love him and respect him… Therein lies the highway to Heaven…
Every time I write one of these posts, I think that it may be my last… If this is my last post, hang onto Jesus and meet me on the other side…
David…
Exactly right. This past year, in early spring I was struggling within myself because so much of what I was seeing in my spirit was at odds with what I was hearing all around me. There were those whom I refer to as the “populist prophets” who were (and still are) dealing in eisegesis and not exegesis and are spouting nonsense that the multitudes are following. However, there are also a few true watchman that I know and trust who were seeing things even as I was, but with also other points of perspective, and when I inquired of the Lord regarding this, He spoke to my heart precisely about the watchmen on the wall, and He said, each watchman is seeing correctly FROM THEIR POSITION ON THE WALL WHERE I HAVE PLACED THEM. Those who are on the north wall, are seeing the things from the north, those on the south wall the things from the south, and so forth with the east and west walls. That is why you must come together to compare what each of you see, compare notes, share the perspectives that you see from your relative positions to get the full picture! Your article is in essence what the Lord had spoken to me earlier this year.
Blessings to you.
