The Weight of Fear and Wishful Thinking

The PreTrib Rapture doctrine has not only the full power of Hell behind it but the immense weight of fear and wishful thinking…

Some of you believe in a pretrib rapture. if so, what do you do with this scripture?

But in those days AFTER that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory Then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of the earth to the farthest part of heaven.

(Mark 13:24-27)

In Matthew 24, the Disciples asked Jesus “What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” It was in that context (context is everything) that Jesus answered:

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

(Matthew 24:9-14)

Who is the “you” of whom He speaks? Those who see the signs of His coming and the end of the age!

Writing:

“NOW CONCERNING the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and OUR BEING GATHERED TO HIM:” Paul says, “DON’T LET ANYONE DECEIVE YOU in any way. FOR THAT DAY WILL NOT COME UNLESS the apostasy comes first and THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS IS REVEALED, the son of destruction.”

2 Thessalonians 2

“That day” is the day we are gathered to Jesus!!!

The PreTrib Rapture doctrine has not only the full power of Hell behind it but the immense weight of fear and wishful thinking… No one wants to go through the Tribulation. We do not like to suffer, and we do not want to die… When Hell dropped that heresy on the Church, it had a winner. Whether Scripture supports it or not, the shear weight of fear coupled with wishful thinking will force the eisegesis… Masters of theology took it upon themselves to twist and warp the Scripture until it agreed to relieve their fears and fulfill their innermost desires…

Think about it…

  1. Exactly as I believe because SCRIPTURE TELLS US SO!

  2. Simple reasoning can help you avoid the pre-trib rapture doctrine:

It’s better to be prepared for the Mark of the Beast and not have to reject it, than it is to not be prepared for it and have to reject it.
